QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Garage door questions, answered.

How much does garage door repair cost?

The cost depends on the fault, the components involved, and the condition of the door. Our standard tune-ups typically run $150–$250. That is a guide for a tune-up, not a flat price for every repair. More involved repairs and replacements cost more. We provide a clear estimate before starting work so you can make an informed decision.

Do you offer same-day service in Orange County?

Same-day service is available, subject to scheduling and the work needed. Call with your address and describe the issue so we can discuss the next available appointment. Our listed hours are 6am–10pm, Sunday through Friday, with Saturday closed. We don’t want you guessing about arrival times—please confirm current availability directly with us.

Should I repair my garage door or replace it?

A repair may be appropriate when the problem is limited to a component and the rest of the system is in good condition. Replacement can make more sense when damage is extensive or you want to change the door’s style and everyday performance. An inspection helps establish what is practical. We’ll explain your options and the proposed scope before you commit.

Can you repair a garage door opener?

Yes. Royalty offers opener repair and replacement. Because the opener works with the rest of the door system, we look at the symptoms in context. Let us know whether the motor makes a sound, whether any controls work, and whether the door moves unevenly. If you can safely see a model label, that information is helpful when arranging service.

What should I do if the door is stuck or off-track?

Stop operating it and keep the area clear. Don’t try to force the door back onto its track, adjust a spring, or pull on a loose cable. A damaged or unbalanced door can move unexpectedly. Tell us whether it is open, closed, or partly raised when you call, and avoid walking or parking underneath it until it has been assessed.

Are you licensed and insured?

Royalty Garage Door Repair is a licensed and insured business, with license #1120634. You can ask us for licensing and insurance information when arranging your appointment. We’re happy to discuss your questions about the company and the work proposed for your home.

Can you replace just one damaged panel?

Sometimes, but it depends on the extent of the damage and whether a compatible panel is available. The door’s model, age, and overall condition all matter. We assess panel repair and replacement options for residential and commercial garage doors and explain when replacing a section is practical compared with replacing the whole door.

What information should I have ready when I call?

Your city, a contact number, and a brief description of the problem are a great start. Tell us if the garage is unsecured or a vehicle is trapped. Photos of the door and any visible model label can help explain the situation, but only take them from a safe position. You don’t need to identify the broken part yourself.

What does a garage door tune-up help with?

A tune-up is an opportunity to inspect the system, discuss changes in noise or movement, and identify components that may need attention. If your door has started shaking, hesitating, or sounding different, mention those changes when booking. Routine service is different from repairing a broken part, and we’ll explain any additional work before proceeding.
